CVE-2023-20569: AMD Inception Vulnerability

CVE-2023-20569, known as Inception, is a critical AMD CPU vulnerability that allows an attacker to train the return stack buffer to hijack speculative execution. It was disclosed in 2023 and is the primary flaw that the Safe RET mitigation is designed to prevent. The Interrupt Injection attack leverages Inception to fill the return stack buffer with attacker-chosen targets.
