Microsoft Outlook Experiences Interruption Preventing People from Sending and Receiving Emails

Microsoft is currently dealing with an issue that is causing disruption to its Outlook webmail service. People have reported difficulties sending, receiving, and searching emails, as well as not being able to log in and having their accounts wiped. The issue began at 6 AM UTC on Tuesday and has spread to other regions due to the affected infrastructure. Microsoft is attempting to fix the problem by restarting certain parts of the infrastructure. Additionally, the outage is also affecting other services such as the calendar used by Microsoft Teams. This follows a major incident last week that caused Azure and Microsoft 365 to go down for five hours, impacting services such as Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and Outlook. The cause of this was a router IP address change that caused packet forwarding issues. The situation is still developing.
